Combined flap phalloplasty first performed [13].

Extended metoidioplasty first reported [14].

1939

Dr. Michael Dillon is the first person documented to take testosterone to medically transition [5].

1946

Dr. Michael Dillon is the first trans person to undergo (abdominal) phalloplasty, performed by Dr. Harold Gillies [5].

1972

The pedicled groin flap is introduced for phalloplasty for cisgender men [5].

1973

First reports of metoidioplasty [6].
